Every time government raises taxes, the revenues from the taxes go down.
Looks like the Democrats in Sacramento want to lose more revenues. They are still trying to raise tobacco taxes. Of course, it is the poor that these taxes hurt the most.
Why do Democrats hate the poor so much?
The good news is that this is not going to happen. Instead a few billion can be taken from LAUSD and other corrupt and incompetent government school districts.
Maybe we will lose dozens of worthless commissions and agencies? How about ending the costly prevailing wage system, PLA's and the monopoly of unions over government?
We could cut $26 billion without affecting the basic services of the State. Oh, did I mention the $11 billion a years we spend on illegal aliens?
So, we do not need new taxes, we need a return of common sense.
