For years the SF Chronicle has been a strong supporter of unions--everybody should be forced to pay bribes in order to work. Many of us said, the stronger the union the weaker the company or government agency.
Now the Chronicle, is forced to get rid of its printers union, if it wants to survive.
The Chronicle needs to publish an apology to the workers of San Francisco for harming them The newspaper needs to admit that union contracts have caused the paper to be moments away from closing down.
For years, as the paper promoted unions for others, the public understood this would kill the economy. Now, with joblessness at historic highs, the credibility of the paper is at historic lows--why buy a paper that editorializes you need to pay bribes?
So, a Canadian firm, operating in Alameda County is printing the Chron--will workers who do not pay bribes to keep their jobs.
