The people of Visalia now have their government using their tax dollars to steal workers from the Bay Area city of Brisbane.
This is why government is broke, it steals from some and gives to others and taxpayers lose on both ends.
"His employer, VWR, is building a new facility in Visalia and plans to shutter the Brisbane plant once the new one is up and running.
The move will put approximately 150 people out of work locally, while creating a similar number of jobs in the Central Valley.
But because the Visalia facility is in an enterprise zone designed to stimulate job creation, VWR will be able to take a $37,000 tax credit for each worker hired – a package worth approximately $500,000.
“They’re pirating jobs from one part of the state to another, and my tax dollars are paying for it,” Ricci said."
