San Fran has among the highest taxes in the State, the most expensive and rigorous regulations--and it shows in the cost of products, services and gasoline.
"The Lundberg Survey says San Francisco now has the most expensive gas in the country.
According to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge, the average price for regular is $3.62 per gallon, a 3% increase from just a week ago, 5% higher than last month, and 20% higher than February 2010. The current price is still at a 21% “discount” to the highest recorded average of $4.62 set in late June 2008.
In San Francisco right now, you’ll pay about a 5 cent premium over neighboring cities to the east and south. Nationwide, only Alaska and Hawaii have higher average prices than California, which overall pays 14% more than the national average."
If you love the rich and illegal aliens, San Fran is a great place. If you are middle class-you need to leave before you become poor.
