When you close hundreds of farms, do not give a region water they need, have upwards of 40% unemployment, you get headlines like this, "Central Valley now one of nation’s more affordable places"
Why are the homes affordable? Because a majority of the homes are under water, the owners owe more on the homes then the homes are worth. Foreclosures are sky high.
"Affordable" houses means no one can afford the homes, no money, no job.
This is not a good situation for the Central Valley or the State. This is more proof that California is in a Great Depression.
