1. Holder Uses New York Times to Tamper with New Black Panther Investigation, by J. Christian Adams, Big Government,1/4/11
Eric Holder is a bigot. He has openly allowed the Black Panthers to bully, with clubs, white voters--making Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2008 look like Philadelphia, Mississippi in the 1950's.
As Attorney General he has, by allowing this vicious corruption opened himself up for Impeachment, certainly disbarment.
"Attorney General Eric Holder recently made statements to the New York Times so detached from reality that they could have been written by scheming Republican operatives for fun. In particular, Holder tells the Times that the lawless dismissal of voter intimidation charges against the New Black Panthers is “a made up controversy.” I have written about Holder’s accelerating detachment from reality in the interview, along with Jen Rubin.
Putting aside the fact video exists of the armed uniformed thugs in Philadelphia, Holder did something even worse than flirt with kooky conspiratorial characterizations of the fallout from the Black Panther dismissal. When Holder announced to the New York Times that there “is no there there,” he let the Justice Department’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) know what he believes the outcome of their ongoing investigation into the dismissal should be. In other words, he tampered with their investigation."
Holder is not stupid--he is corrupt and laughing at the rest of us.
2. Birthright Citizenship Looms as Next Immigration Battle, Marc Lacey, New York Times, 1/4/11
Should criminals be able to sneak into our nation, violate our laws on a daily basis, get free health care and create a U.S. citizen?
"Of the 50 or so women bused to this border town on a recent morning to be deported back to Mexico, Inez Vasquez stood out. Eight months pregnant, she had tried to trudge north in her fragile state, even carrying scissors with her in case she gave birth in the desert and had to cut the umbilical cord." She is a criminal and could "give" Constitutional rights to her offspring.
Finally the States, which pay for this corruption, are fighting back. Several, this year, will outlaw the issuing of birth certificates for these children of criminals. What do you think?
3. Obamacare stops construction at 45 physician owned hospitals nationwide, Rick Moran, American Thinker, 1/4/11
Barack Obama is a socialist. In almost every bill he promotes and signs, the rights of private property are constricted or ended. Did you know that ObamaCare is geared to CLOSING private hospitals owned by doctors?
"Under the headline, "Construction Stops at Physician Hospitals," Politico reports today that "Physician Hospitals of America says that construction had to stop at 45 hospitals nationwide or they would not be able to bill Medicare for treatments." Stopping construction at doctor-owned hospitals might not seem like the best way to boost the economy or to promote greater access and choice in health care, but that exactly what Obamacare is doing.
Kenneth Artz of the Heartland Institute explains, "Section 6001 of the health care law effectively bans new physician-owned hospitals (POHs) from starting up, and it keeps existing ones from expanding." Politico adds, "Friday [New Year's Eve] marked the last day physician-owned hospitals could get Medicare certification covering their new or expanded hospitals, one of the latest provisions of the reform law to go into effect."
4. Obama under the Glare of WikiLeaks, By Janet Levy, American Thinker, 1/5/11
Barack Obama is a liar. Liars need to keep their lies from being made public. That is the real reason is was upset with the WikiLeaks--they would out him as a liar, corrupt and harming American interests.
Proof that he lied to us about his views and actions in re: the Middle East: "For example, the WikiLeaks cables reveal Obama administration duplicity in its prerequisite that an Arab-Palestinian state be established before a solution could be brokered with Gulf Arabs over the Iranian nuclear threat. Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have long maintained the charade that action on Iran was contingent upon Israeli cooperation and concessions to Arab-Palestinians as confidence-building gestures. These demands included the scaling back of security measures such as roadblocks and checkpoints (that previously saved Israeli lives and stopped terrorist attacks), the release of large numbers of Arab-Palestinians terrorists from Israeli jails, the free flow of materials into Gaza (which have included military supplies and weapons for Hamas), and the relinquishing of key West Bank cities which Israel obtained after being attacked in the 1967 Six-Day War. "
5. California Fleeing, Governors across the country adopt a new economic strategy: Raid California for its businesses. By STEPHEN MOORE, Wall Street Journal, 1/4/11
Arnold gave us high taxes, AB 32, protection of illegal aliens and promotion of monopoly unions. he also gave us business and families leaving the State. Plus, he has made the job of other States easier in taking our jobs and families. This means left behind are the very rich and the illegal aliens.
"At least three Republican governors have said as much in interviews. The idea is to offer lower taxes, a more business-friendly atmosphere and the right to be left alone from overzealous regulators. "We just keep inviting California businesses to look at the economic climate in Texas, where we treat businesses like assets not villains," said Texas Governor Rick Perry.
California has some of the highest tax rates in the country, the worst bond rating and a multitude of nettlesome regulations. Chief Executive magazine just ranked California as the most antibusiness state in the nation. A new study by Joseph Vranich, a California-based business consultant, found that 144 major companies relocated plants, research facilities, headquarters or their entire operations out of California in 2010. That was more than triple the pace of job-creating firms leaving in 2009. Mr. Vranich said that the outmigration could become "a stampede" in 2011. "Business owners tell me every day that this is just not a hospitable place to do business anymore," he said."
