Government workers should not be allowed to go on strike--but if they do, who do they hurt? In this case the unions want to harm the least among us, those who need social workers. Great idea--social workers going on strike. This will help the economy. No pay, so government will have more money to spend on other thins. Folks that are currently ignored or abused by the system will still be ignored, but at least not abused.
"Agency employees have been concerned about unmanageable workloads, not being able to quickly complete applications due to an influx of cases, imposed overtime, and working off the clock. More than 50 workers from the Human Services Agency recently met to voice their concerns about the delays in serving residents in need of county-administered programs, such as food stamps, cash assistance and Medi-Cal, as well as poor working conditions. The meeting was organized by Service Employees International Union Local 1021."
Of course this is being organized by the openly corrupt SEIU, partners with the openly corrupt organization previously known as ACORN--now operating under numerous new names.
Again, if you are a government worker and "strike", it is really a resignation--lots of people would like these jobs--and maybe they would refuse to pay bribes to hold them.
