The city of Santa Barbara got lots of government money to fight "gangs".
“This money will help us work with kids, and define different alternatives for them than joining gangs,” Schneider said.
The current award, $369,309, and officially called the Governor’s California Gang Reduction, Intervention, and Prevention initiative or CalGRIP, will replace funds the city was awarded by the program two years ago.
That grant was slightly more, about $400,00 and “sunsets,” or expires, next March. "
Not a single word about the gangs being mostly illegal aliens. Not a word about using law enforcement to arrest the criminals from other nations.
This is wasted money if we do not enforce our immigration laws. This is about building new government employees and supporting unions, not about stopping the crime in Santa Barbara.
Until the illegal aliens are gone, crime will increase--no amount of midnight basketball and tutoring will stop the problem. These government officials know they are lying to the public. They need to go.
