Salmon Spawning Starts at DFG-Operated Hatcheries in the Sacramento River Syst

The Feather River Hatchery kicked off the statewide effort to spawn returning fall Chinook salmon this week. Calif. Department of Fish and Game hatchery workers took more than half a million eggs during the first week of spawning.
