I purchased some seeds from a company in Hawaii, then planted them in february of this year (2022). They were started outdoors, although in a controlled environment. 3 emerged, and I kept them there until april, at which time I transplanted one to the sunnier strip of our property. I did further control the environment until late spring when I let the gods have their way with it. It is now 54 inches tall and flourishing. Haven't seen any sign of it flowering, but that's not a given this early anyway. It does look might cool to the trained eye.

October 2nd, and it just about crested the fence, so it's 5 feet tall now. While it's upward growth seems slower, the crown has become more tightly packed and heavier. No sign of blossoms yet, so it is getting quite unlikely this year. Now the task is to help it survive an flourish a little through fall and winter. I have a few plans for that
