This natural-color satellite image of the drought-fueled Rim Fire was collected by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) aboard NASA's Terra satellite on Aug. 25, 2013. The fire began on Aug. 17 and, as of Aug. 26, continues to burn on the Stanislaus National Forest, Yosemite National Park, and Bureau of Land Management and state responsibility land.
