As you know, the Consent Decree entered into by the Secretary of State (SOS) and the United States Department of Justice (USDOJ) requires the SOS to issue three surveys to each California county regarding the timely transmission of absentee ballots to voters covered under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA), as amended by the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment (MOVE) Act. To ensure California’s compliance with UOCAVA, the SOS is also required to report this information to the USDOJ.</img> </img> </img>
