So the president has proposed "initial" actions on firearms. These are proposed rules that he wants specific agencies to adopt. This places them in a position to be listed in the federal register after first giving the public a period of time to review and comment. My concern is the inaptly named "red flag laws". On their face, they seem repugnant to the concept of innocent until proven guilty. They strip a person of their 2nd amendment rights before a trial, which also deprives that person of a trial before a jury of their peers, because it's only before a judge.
