10th Mountain Soldiers begin deploying to support troop surge in Afghanistan

The 10th Mountain Division's 1st Brigade Combat Team began deploying Soldiers to Afghanistan Jan. 9 with the departure of nearly 130 Soldiers of C Company, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, from Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield on Fort Drum, N.Y.
